Sara Morris - Director of Human Resources

Sara Morris joined the NYSBA Executive leadership team as Director of Human Resources in 2026. Ms. Morris brings more than eighteen years of experience in Human Resources Management, including nine years in the public sector serving County, Town, and City governments. Her leadership and expertise in personnel administration, policy development, payroll administration, labor-management relations, employee relations, risk management, and benefits administration further support NYSBA’s strategic goals and services for all stakeholders.

Ms. Morris holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary College and a Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Ms. Morris was born and raised in Orange County. After receiving her degrees, she moved to NYC for ten years before returning to the Hudson Valley to raise her son. She is active in sports and her gym, but most importantly, she enjoys watching her son play soccer.
