Kevin Ahrenholz - General Counsel

Kevin Ahrenholz joined the NYSBA team as General Counsel in 2023. His previous State service includes serving as Associate Counsel for the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, and as an Assistant Attorney General for the New York State Office of the Attorney General. Mr. Ahrenholz has a background in litigation, mediation, human resources, personal injury and government law. Prior to State service, Mr. Ahrenholz was in private practice for many years. He received his Bachelor's degree from Holy Cross and his Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School.

Mr. Ahrenholz is originally from Dutchess County. After living in several states and one foreign country, he and his wife returned to the beautiful Hudson Valley to raise their daughter.
