Craig Gardner - Manager Of Maintenance

Craig Gardner has been the Manager of Maintenance for the New York State Bridge Authority for over two decades. He oversees maintenance for the Authority’s bridge crossings, roadways, facilities, and equipment fleet. He is part of a small Engineering and Maintenance department whose motto is “Maintenance Deferred is Maintenance Denied.” Mr. Gardner came to the Authority after having worked at Modjeski and Masters Consulting Engineers for 11 years as a Resident Engineer on many NYS Bridge Authority projects.

Mr. Gardner received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology, but remains most proud of his “working man’s PhD.” Mr. Gardner was born and raised in Ulster County, where he still resides with his wife. They have two daughters, who have both become professional engineers.
