The Board of Commissioners is the governing Board of the New York State Bridge Authority.  The Board consists of seven members appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the NYS Senate.  They serve five-year terms and receive no compensation.

 

Richard A. GerentineRichard A. Gerentine; Chairman

Mr. Gerentine has served as a Commissioner of the New York State Bridge Authority since 2006. Elected Vice Chairman by its members in 2011, Mr. Gerentine was elected Chairman in 2013.  A resident of Ulster County, he has a distinguished career in private business and community involvement in communities on both sides of the Hudson River.  Mr. Gerentine has served as Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature and has expertise in public finance.  Richard Gerentine received a degree in Business Administration from Marist College.


Roger P. Higgins

Roger P. Higgins; Vice Chairman

Mr. Higgins was appointed as a Commissioner of the New York State Bridge Authority in 2010 and elected Vice-Chairman in 2016. A resident of Dutchess County, Roger Higgins has an accomplished career as an educator and public servant. Mr. Higgins also served as a county legislator, rising to the position of Chairman, and brings wealth of experience in governmental management. Mr. Higgins holds a Master of Education degree from Springfield College.


Roderick O. Dressel

Roderick O. Dressel

Mr. Dressel has served as a Commissioner of the New York State Bridge Authority since June of 1997. A resident of Ulster County, Mr. Dressel has more than 30 years of experience in financial matters, fiscal planning and is active in the Hudson Valley Agricultural industry.


Diane JablonskiDiane Jablonski

Ms. Jablonski was appointed as a Commissioner of the New York State Bridge Authority in 2016. A resident of Dutchess County, Diane Jablobski has an extensive background in software product technology and project management during her 28-year tenure at IBM. Ms. Jablonski also served as Comptroller for Dutchess County, placing particular emphasis on internal audits, financial controls and contract review. Diane Jablonski holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Delaware.

Henry J StantonHenry J. Stanton

Mr. Stanton was appointed as a Commissioner of the New York State Bridge Authority in 2016. A resident of Westchester County, Mr. Stanton has more than 35 years of experience managing public transportation programs, including 12 years as Executive Director of the Bridge Authority (1985-1997). Harry Stanton holds a Juris Doctorate from the New York University School of Law, a B.A. in Economics from Fordham University and served in the United States Marine Corps.
